Competency Standard

A Competency Standard is a fixed arrangement of the skills and underpinning knowledge required in the workplace for a particular task. It is also known as a unit of competency; unit of competence or competency.

Relevant Competency Standards are grouped into qualifications in national Training Packages and delivered in a workplace context by RTOs to the worker or student.
